Flowers

Kevin surprised me with a dozen roses yesterday. It was 12 years ago that he proposed to me. I left the very next day to go to Lake Powell for a week. He figured if he was going to surprise me, it had to be before I left. I had no idea that he had even been shopping for a ring. We were always together, and we had not gone together looking for rings. I was very surprised when he pulled out the ring and proposed. I was also very nicely surprised by the flowers yesterday. How sweet of him to remember the anniversary of our engagement. I love you Kevin. Thanks again.

All For Andrew

On Saturday, we spent most of the day bringing everything up out of the basement. Now it is all sitting throughout the rest of the house, mostly in the TV room. All so that Andrew can have his very own room. He has been asking for a while and we decided to just do it. The basement is still unfinished, but he doesn't care. He is happy to have is own room for the first time in 8 years.

I hope he realizes how much we love him.

Someday, we might finish it or at least have it all the way carpeted.
Now the real work begins of finding a place for all of the displaced stuff. If you would like to help us store stuff, just let me know.

FYI Kiana's room is back to normal and clean. My room is back to normal and the front room almost is. The TV room is going to have to wait until we go through the garage. Hopefully that will be soon. It will probably take another whole Saturday and several trips to the DI before everything is right.

Weekend Trip

We went up to Kevin's parent's cabin in Manila for the weekend. It is up by Flaming Gorge. It was a lot of fun. Kevin took the boys shooting on Saturday. Jared had a hard time. The gun was a little big for him, plus he is left eye dominate.

He put 12 holes in it.

Standing in two places at once

We left on Sunday morning. On the way home we did a little geocaching. We found two boxes. We had tried two the day before but did not find them.

Jared got sick on the way home and threw up in the car. Luckily we were able to move Andrew and Kiana into Grandma and Grandpa's car. I hope he does not have motion sickness, or if he does that he can outgrow it fast.
By himself in the back seat

All in all it was fun and relaxing. The boys were a little disappointed that the boat was not ready and they did not get to go fishing. Maybe next time.
