Special Olympics

On the 27th of March, we competed our "give a day, get a Disney day" service. We helped with the Special Olympics. Kevin's day started at 9 am at Powder Mountain. He was assigned some athletes and was responsible for getting them to their start gate on time. Then later that evening, we all went up to Weber State for the dinner and closing ceremony. We cleared tables and watched their parade and saw them extinguish the torch. Then they had a dance. It was really very fun and hard to believe that we get a free day at Disneyland for so little work. Maybe we will have to volunteer again for the summer games or else next winter. The boys did not have as much fun, but when we told them they earned a free day, they were a little more excited about the volunteering.
